A laparoscopic cholecystectomy is a minimally invasive surgery in which the gallbladder is removed through four small incisions in the abdomen using a tiny video camera and surgical tools. Living without a gallbladder is entirely possible. To digest the food, the liver will still be able to produce adequate bile.
