The diaphragm is actually a large muscle with 3 main attachments: the xiphoid process of the sternum, internal side of the ribs 7-10, and the lumbar vertebrae. If this muscle is tight, it can limit breathing mechanics, thoracic or lumbar mobility and cause pelvic floor issues. Feel like you can’t take a deep 360° breath?
