Things To Do In Denali National Park: Hiking, Sled Dogs and Moose! On our 2nd day in Denali National Park we started the day by parking in the Visitor Center and doing a 2.4 mile hike on the Rock Creek Trail to get to the Dog Sled Kennel demonstration. They have 3 different demonstrations throughout the day in the summer. Things To Do In Denali National Park: Savage Alpine TrailThe Savage Alpine Trail is one of the best things to do in Denali National Park! We opted to park at the Savage Rest Area and hike 2 miles and 1400 feet up in elevation before turning around and hiking back down. We saw Denali and had amazing views the whole hike.
