Next time you're out of buttermilk, try this. If all you have is lemon and milk, go ahead and do that. But if you have sour cream or yogurt & milk on hand, it is my professional opinion that this is a better substitute. If you're in the Whatcom or Skagit areas, might I suggest keeping @myshandairy 100% Guernsey milk on hand? I do. Otherwise, pick a good milk local to you. Recipe Notes: My general rule of thumb per cup of buttermilk needed is 1/4 cup yogurt or sour cream per 3/4 of a cup milk wil
