Fact: 90% of Deaf children are born to hearing families. Fact: Only 10% of those parents learn ASL for their Deaf children. I consider myself incredibly grateful that not only has my immediate family learned ASL, but many of my in-laws have picked up basic ASL as well. #ad While my wife still interprets for larger family gatherings, I feel so much more included knowing that more people can communicate with me.
