Space Spiral was a gyro tower built by Willy Bühler Space Towers of Berne, Switzerland, with a double-decker cabin provided by Von Roll. It was located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, near the front of the park, next to Disaster Transport. It opened in 1965 and closed on August 14, 2012, to make room for GateKeeper.

From the top of Space Spiral, you would get a fantastic view of Cedar Point, the Lake Erie Islands and Sandusky! Cedar Spiral would be a Cedar Point icon for 47 years. On Friday, July 13, 2012, Cedar Point was hosting It's Coaster Mania event.

Space Spiral took riders up and above the vast Cedar Point peninsula. It gave views of Cedar Point, lake Erie, Lake Erie Islands, and the city of Sandusky. When it was built in 1965, it was the first ride to be over 300 feet.

2012年9月13日 · Cedar Point will pay tribute to the Space Spiral by including a portion of it in the Cedar Point Ride Graveyard during HalloWeekends this fall, where it will join past attractions that include the Rotor, Pirate Ride, Earthquake and Frontier Lift.

The 330-foot Space Spiral is that “ride in-between rides” kind of ride, meaning: no one really wants to go on it; it’s more of a “hey we’re really tired let’s go sit on this spinny thing that overlooks the whole park” type-thing. So they demolished it.

A Cedar Point landmark, the towering 330-foot-tall Space Spiral is a “don’t miss.” Its rotating two-level observation deck offers commanding views of the Cedar Point Peninsula, Sandusky Bay and Lake Erie. The Space Spiral is located in the front of the park near Disaster Transport.

Space Spiral, until the opening of Top Thrill Dragster, was the highest point on the Cedar Point peninsula. Standing 300 feet tall without its antenna, Space Spiral has been delighting riders since 1966. The ride's two story capsule slowly travels up the cylinder, spins around, then slowly returns to the ground.

Up to the year 2003, Space Spiral was the tallest structure at Cedar Point. Riders sit in a cabin that slowly moves up and down a tower.
