2024年3月15日 · The magnificent Ladies View in Killarney is arguably Kerry’s best known viewpoint, but a visit comes with several safety warnings. One of the most popular stops on the Ring of Kerry route, Ladies View can be enjoyed from several different viewpoints, one of which is situated at a very bad blindspot. But we’ll get to that in a moment!

Ladies View, Lakes of Killarney. Ladies View is a scenic viewpoint on the Ring of Kerry tourist route about 19 kilometres (12 miles) from Killarney along the N71 road to Kenmare, in the Killarney National Park in Ireland.

Stunning stop on the Ring of Kerry. We were told “Ladies View was named after Queen Victoria’s ladies in waiting who stopped here in 1861 and were astounded by the magnificent views”. We were astounded as well, we had a clear day and it was awe inspiring. One of our favorite stops on the Ring of Kerry.

Ladies View is one of Killarney's and indeed Ireland's best known scenic viewing points. It is located about halfway between Killarney and Kenmare on the N71 road about 10 miles (16km) from Killarney Town.

The gorgeous panorama over the Upper Lake and Purple Mountain at this viewpoint, 17km south of Killarney, was enjoyed by Queen Victoria's ladies-in-waiting in 1861. Parking's free; bring coins for the binoculars. There's a pub and cafe 100m along the road towards Killarney.
