A few highlights include May The 4th with Funk Trek, a Cinco De Mayo party with Parranderos Latin Combo, the return of modern jazz giant Kamasi Washington, country star Logan Mize, Australian punks The Chats, and indie up and comers Wednesday.

Slowdown is just north of the Old Market in the North Downtown area of Omaha. It’s a quick drive from anywhere in the city with easy interstate access from all around. For exact directions, see the Locate tab on the site. Also see the Locate tab for parking info. There is plenty of parking around Slowdown. Don’t let it scare you!

Unless noted otherwise, nights when a musical performance occurs at Slowdown are open to persons of all ages. Any person, regardless of age, must present a valid photo ID for admission.

Slowdown is located in the North Downtown area of Omaha at 729 North 14th Street, or 14th Street just south of Cuming. That is 7 blocks north of Dodge, or about 1 mile from 13th and Howard in the Old Market.

History Slowdown began as an idea to start a rock club in the fall of 2000. And a fairly simple idea at that. After living in California for a couple of years, Jason Kulbel moved back to Omaha with the intent of opening a rock club with his friend Robb Nansel.

Slowdown is available for rental for pretty much any type of event you can imagine. We have hosted weddings, wedding receptions, dinners, theatre, company meetings, and beyond.
