2024年10月31日 · The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is a membership Union uniquely composed of both government and civil society organisations.

Created in 1948, IUCN has evolved into the world’s largest and most diverse environmental network. Our Members include expert and influential government, non-government and Indigenous Peoples’ Organisations from over 160 countries, and our Commissions draw upon more than 17,000 experts worldwide.

Our broad membership also means we can incubate ideas and are a trusted repository of best practices, tools and international standards. We provide a neutral space in which governments, NGOs, scientists, businesses, local communities, indigenous peoples’ organisations and others can work together to solve environmental challenges and achieve sustainable development.

IUCN holds 4 statutory deadlines per year for submission of the IUCN membership applications, which are: 31 March, 30 June, 30 September, 31 December.
