Lichess has ways to ensure that the average stays around 1500 (messing with the rating). Chess.com does nothing of the sort so if more players with lots of rating gets inactive, they remove points from the pool (that aren't there anymore for grabs) and the average and median go down. Further Chess.com avoids negative ratings IIRC.

2017年5月5日 · Spells EVAL. C stands for revision C. Revision B is 1-5. 5B for example if a "firewall 5". Difference between B and C is in B, the rating is also the promote. In C, the promote statement is separate ("Promote Now", "Must Promote", "Promote").

2023年3月8日 · Edit: Letterboxd is the best one to use if you’re a serious movie person. I feel Rotten Tomatoes’s critics score gets an unfairly bad rap since if you look at the average rating (instead of just the Tomatometer approval rating), then it’s actually pretty fair most of the time.

I think about the scale as a line segment scale. So there are movies with the same rating for example 8 but in my mind I may view them as 8.0 and 8.9. With the ones very close to a better or worse rating I am always thinking if I should bump them up to the next rating or take them down a notch to a lower rating.
