I’d prefer someone younger and more energetic, but on merit alone Biden’s presidency has been far better than I expected, and he’s gotten a lot more done than I thought he would with the shitshow that is DC these days.

Aug 2, 2014 · Say what you will about Joe Biden, I always remember when I see him that he struggled with what could have been an emotionally crippling tragedy (the death of his first wife and one year old daughter in a car crash, right before his first term as Senator began). I can NOT imagine the grief.

Biden would've very likely won in 2016, then in 2018 there's another red wave, this time Republicans would've flipped 7 Senate seats instead of just 2, while holding the House (gains in the House would've been in the single digits if that).
