I continued taking Tamsulosin during my 9 years on active surveillance, throughout my 28 proton radiation treatments (19 April-28 May 2021), and then for one year following treatments.

2024年9月24日 · I had taken Flomax at night with no complications for kidney stones. Then was switched to mornings a different time for prostatitis and started having chest pains and palpitations. After 3 ER visits and no help I stopped the Flomax and chest pain went away , then I took one more pill and it came back.

2023年5月26日 · I started taking Flomax 5 days after I started proton beam therapy pain during urination. I tried going off about3 months after my treatment and the pain was still there. Kept using it for another year and tried it again and pain was gone. Haven't used it sense. Not sure if it's used for other reasons and might need long term use.

2024年1月25日 · Same for my husband post radiation 12/26 (last session) , the frequency has gone to every 2 hours from hourly. When up every 3 hours. And he’s gotten to every 2 days on Flomax as it was making him dizzy, seems to help. My guess is urethra was hit near prostate and swollen so not completely emptying bladder each time.

2023年5月26日 · I started taking Flomax after my third viewray mridian linac treatment as I was feeling more restricted. I finished my 5 treatments in February and got off the Flomax about a month ago. In April, I started taking it every other day, at night. No issues. My radiation oncologist told me to get off of it on my own schedule.
