Washington Park is a neighborhood and public urban park in Denver, Colorado. The Washington Park is a blend of historic and contemporary styles of architecture. The park was first developed by Architect Reinhard Schuetze in 1899. Its design was influenced by city planner Kessler, the Olmsted Brothers and philanthropist Margaret Brown. [2]

UPDATE (1:19 p.m. Feb. 3): A 28-year-old man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of attempted murder after a shooting in Denver’s Washington Park sent another man to the hospital, police said Monday.

Wash Park is easily one of Denver’s most popular public spaces, with two lakes, multi-use trails and large grassy meadow. The park covers 165 acres.
