2019年6月14日 · If you want vintage retro looks and sound, get the vintage Marantz. If you want superior sound quality, get the Yamaha and a phono pre. I mostly use the Yamaha for listening to Flac files from my Mac and it sounds terrific through the onboard DAC. I have since sold the Marantz. I don't miss it. I use the Yamaha daily for my office system.

2007年2月19日 · For Marantz, the Models 18 and 19 were the only receivers from the Marantz heyday. 18's blew up with regularity and are rare as hen's teeth. The 19 was better in that regard apparently. The 2230 and 2270 are fine and likely more reliable due to newer SS technology (relative to the 18/19) but nowhere near the build quality of the 19.

2020年1月2日 · The flagship Marantz units such as the 2270 & 2275 are priced $700 and up. Recapped, they're approaching 1k or beyond. I am not diminishing the value of recapping, I have 2 vintage McIntosh systems that have been recapped, and they sound amazing. I also have 2 Marantz receivers, a 2270 and a 2226 that are not. They still function and sound fine.
