2020年7月22日 · Surge is issued by Celtic Bank - fee harvester, monthly fees starting in year 2, max credit limit 750. If you can avoid it, avoid it. I agree about the fee harvester part whole heartedly, but the max CL is more than $925.

2015年6月3日 · Re: Surge MasterCard from Celtic Bank? The only reason I don't want to do a secured card is because of an issue I ran into with one from Capital One. I paid well on the card but secured cards don't always graduate to unsecured.

2018年7月14日 · I was recently approved for an unsecured Surge Mastercard. Came in the mail today shortly before 4 pm. I was very excited that I got it as quickly as I did. Came inside, put some laundry in the dryer and sat down to activate the card. Oh, but wait, it was after 4 pm by this time and the activation center was closed. You have got to be kidding me!

2021年4月7日 · Surge is the devil -- worse than Credit1. I think they even have something (or at least when I had the card about 5 years ago) that if you closed your account, you actually had to send the physical card back or you would get charged a fee.

2021年5月21日 · Did a thing and finally closed Credit One. The breakup was probably more me than them but I gave them 12 great months and they gave me a little (credit) history. Didn't even breakup by phone, I mailed it in. They weren't worth even 3 spoken words.

2022年7月19日 · Surge Mastercard that was 2 years old and the AF of $99 was about to hit in a couple weeks and while the CL was only $2,000. Had not used the card since sometime in 2021. While it did help my rebuild and for that I'm grateful it truly is a predatory lender.
