2019年12月1日 · I had a laparoscopic colon resection with removal of 12" of my sigmoid colon 4 weeks ago today for recurrent diverticulits, and I'm having lots of burning and stinging pain in the 6 areas where the colon was resected.

2022年5月4日 · Was told the sigmoid colon that was removed was ‘smoldering’ still infected and showing signs of abscessing. So here I am dealing with recovery. Just wondering if anyone out there through this surgery.

2023年10月26日 · I had a sigmoid colon resection 10 months ago and now have an abdominal hernia at the incision site. It is making the area around my naval protrude two inches. I went to my colon surgeon and he said he would repair it with mesh laparoscopically when I was ready. He warned of the hernia possibilities of waiting too long.

My surgeon offered the standard recommendations of more fiber, more water, stay active. I have had colon resection so for all intents and purposes, I no longer have diverticulitis. He removed 7 inches of my sigmoid colon. He told me I need to "manage" the constipation, but could not tell me if this is going to be a life long problem.

cpt code for laparoscopic sigmoid colon resection with end colostomy So my question is where I am not sure do I use 44206 with modifier 52? or 44204 and 44188? Operative note: abdomen is then prepped and draped in the standard sterile fashion.
