Add variants to a product that comes in more than one option, such as size or color. Each combination of option values for a product can be a variant for that product. For example, suppose that you sell T-shirts with two options: size and color.

From the Shopify app, go to Products > All products. Tap the product that you want to edit. In the Variants section, tap + Add options like color, size, etc. In Option field, enter a name for the option, such as Size. The option name is displayed to your customers.

When you add variants to a product, it changes the way that you set up the product details for each variant. For products that don't have any variants, you need to adjust the the Pricing , Inventory , and Shipping settings for the product from the product details page.

From the product details page, you can manage variant options and values, select variants to edit in bulk, or click individual variants to access the variant details page to make edits to that specific variant.

The Get product variant data action retrieves product variant information from your store to use in workflows.

In the Variants section of the product details page, you can search for variants by title, and filter your variant list to display a subset of variants matching a specific option value. If your variants have more than one option, then you can add one filter for each option.

The Update product variant metafield action requires two fields, Product ID and Product variant ID, to identify the product and product variant to add a metafield to. The product ID and product variant ID are set by default and can't be changed.

You can add images to your product variants to let your customers view each product variant. You can add new images from your device or choose from existing product images. Product variants don't support other types of media, such as 3D models or videos, and you can only add one image to each product variant.

Importing products into your Shopify store using a comma-separated values (CSV) file is useful when you switch to Shopify from another platform or when you want to make many changes to your products or inventory.
