2018年2月24日 · The cat then attacked the chicken at 8:16pm. So I have no idea what spooked her to go back outside in the dark. I don’t shut the coop door as I thought my outside enclosure was safe with chainlink all around. As I mentioned I just wanted to share hay it is possible for the cat to take down a full chicken and they can easily get through chainlink.

2019年10月11日 · In the 25 years I've lived in this remote place, I've seen a ringtail once. No, they are so reclusive that I doubt you'd have a problem with them. They prefer small prey, mice, small birds, etc, when they go for meat, and eat lots of insects, berries, and nuts. They wouldn't likely waste time on chickens.

Just the other day I heard a cat yowling and hissing somewhere around my backyard fence and the dogs barking like crazy. So I make sure everyone is safe by putting extra wood against the doors and such. *I showed mom a pic of a ringtail and a raccoon. Mom says ringtailed-cat.

2012年7月10日 · I have experienced chicken friends who feed cat food, in small amounts to their hens, in specific situations, for example, for an added boost during the molt.They've been doing it for many years with no ill effects. I don't because most cat food is made with material of questionable quality and I have better options for my hens.
