REV Ocean is a totally unique, state of the art research and expedition vessel. It is equipped with some of the most sophisticated facilities onboard for carrying out cutting edge ocean science.

REV Ocean is a privately funded research and expedition vessel (REV) under construction by VARD shipyards. Some sources describe her as a yacht, but unlike a yacht, her main purpose is not recreation or sports. She is 194.9 metres (639 ft) in length and her gross tonnage is 17,440.

REV Ocean has an ambitious yet simple goal – to ensure ‘One Healthy Ocean’. The company was established July 20th, 2017 and is funded by Norwegian business-man Kjell Inge Røkke. REV Ocean will enable a new generation of ocean solutions and raise awareness of global impacts on the marine environment.
