So due to having to run some legacy programs, we have remote users connect to a remote desktop via the Remote Desktop Connections. One department uses excel sheets that are exported from that program in order to view data. However, ever since an update (not sure which one) sometimes mid December 2024, the excel is just a glitch mess.

2023年9月23日 · There was a dependency between what windows said my desktops name was (in remote desktop settings) and what my router called my desktop. I connected to the name given by my router and successfully connected. Then my credentials failed. This was fixed by making a local user on my desktop and remoting into the new account. 2015年8月21日 · That’s pretty much it! If you have issue, try disabling Network Level Authentication and see if you can connect. Remember, as long as you have a password for the admin account, allow remote desktop through the firewall and enable remote desktop in system settings, you should be able to remote desktop into Windows 8 without a problem.
