The Place Bellecour (French pronunciation: [plas bɛlkuʁ]) is a large square in the centre of Lyon, France, to the north of the Ainay district.

Place Bellecour is a massive square in the heart of the Confluence "island". Large open space, often used for events. One massive statue in the middle. Handy as tourist centre at one end where you can also catch the metro. Beware of pickpockets especially on the metro.
