2024年2月28日 · This is incorrect, PDD-NOS could be used for any failure to meet the full criteria for any of Autism, Asperger’s etc. but the clinician thinks this is the right diagnosis. There were lots of speech, self-care and cognitive exclusions and inclusions not in the main criteria that made an individual diagnosis a bit of a lottery.

Nowadays, support needs levels are often used for ASD diagnoses instead. If you are a woman, or were assigned female at birth, you are less likely to have stereotypical autism traits.
