2022年5月26日 · We just put a 25,999 gvwr box truck in service this week, with air brakes. Non-cdl, so he’s driving an air brake truck without taking an air brake test. I just went through basic air brake safety with the driver, leak test, valve test, brake slack measurements, auto slacks, etc. He’s good to go. Not sure what the question is, however.

2011年4月21日 · I live In Va and we are running 26ft box truck's with airBrakes running 3 states every day,Rated at 25,999 and we do not need CDL to run this type of truck.I have class A with every endorsement.Been thru 3 level 1 insp. never a problem.the truck's are 2004 IH 4300 with the DT466 we have had alot of electrical problems with them.

2011年10月25日 · I work for a Service company that rents a bucket truck for 'interstate' visits to sites. The truck is non-CDL <26k, >10k. I am not a driver but a technician. Do I need to keep a log book for trips over 150 miles? I guess I am having trouble with the concept because, although it's a commercial vehicle, my company is not a Motor Carrier.

2018年12月26日 · It lists the max 5th wheel towing at 27500. I'm assuming that would be the gcvwr for the truck. So for that truck, 27500 would be the max weight of the truck, trailer and cargo. Let's assume a curb weight of 8000 on the truck, and 5180 on the trailer. That's 13180. 27500-13180= 14320. That's the total cargo capacity of the truck and trailer.

2012年12月8日 · What is the truck rated for as the label inside the door or on the box is what you go by. If the truck is rated over 26,000 lbs then yes you have to abide by the regulations. If the truck is rated 26,000 lbs and under you are exempt from the regulations. You are still a CMV but exempt which means no logs, no DOT drug tests.

2018年5月11日 · I can't help on the registration and permitting. This is best handled by contacting these states and getting OFFICIAL information. From your information I don't know if you are CDL or Non CDL. As long as you stay inside the 150/100 Air mile circle you do not have to log. It makes NO matter how many state lines you cross.
