2008年1月23日 · There is always a heavy trade-off because NR algorithms cannot distinguish in every instance what is noise and what is part of the picture structure. Errors will always occur. One day they might get NR to remove noise only. IMO, until that day, NR is best switched off.

2012年10月4日 · The undefeatable Noise Reduction, which can remove film grain and other high frequency detail in pictures seems to be mercifully absent in the ES6540 but for anyone that doesn’t like the grain effect, a Low setting of the Noise Reduction control in the Picture Menu, is remarkably effective in removing it.

2018年3月29日 · Noise Reduction/Mpeg Noise reduction can work to remove grain/noise without too much ill effect if set to auto. Otherwise off. I have on auto for film UHDs and off for digital UHDs ; Black Level: Low. Needs to be this, as sets the TV to expect 16-235 RGB from blu-ray/UHD players.

It’s a setting once preset that puts the G1 in the correct Rec.709 colour, D65 white and BT1886 gamma modes for SDR with all unnecessary processing, motion smoothing and noise reduction settings switched off and the correct aspect ratio is also applied.

2019年10月31日 · It works well but would also appear to still add some noise reduction that scrubs some fine detail. Upscaling performance is also very good with no obvious signs of edge ringing or artefacts visible. SDR content looks excellent on the LG out of the box, with superb skin tones and a natural look to colours.

2024年9月30日 · Another thing that I notice was that the automatic changes that occur in Picture>Advanced Settings configuration, when Instant Game Response is Active, it seems that it turns off 1) Motion Enhancement, 2) Motion Clearness, 3) Noise Reduction, 4) Digital Noise Reduction, 4) Dynamic Tone Mapping.
