Motorola Radios on Ham Bands? - RadioReference.com Forums
2013年1月28日 · Yes you can. If you have a VHF Motorola you can do 2 meters and a UHF band Motorola will allow you the 440 band. If you're not familiar with the programming of Motorola radios you'll need some extra equipment for that. You'll need a computer, RSS/CPS(software), programming cables and possibly a RIB box depending on the radio.
Unication vs Motorola - RadioReference.com Forums
2024年11月30日 · Motorola radios are usually quite limited in their scanning capability. Public safety users don't scan large numbers of channels/talkgroups. I'm working on a large system project at work, and just about all the large radio manufacturers will spec Unication pagers when the customer asked for pagers for fire departments.

2014年3月11日 · To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package.
Motorola older Radios Vs Newer Radios - RadioReference.com …
2024年12月15日 · Just curious, mostly using the older Motorola PR400 and Motorola CP200 VHF portable radios. Using with a local volunteer fire department. We are kind of at the edge as far as hitting the repeater depending on where we are. Wondering if the newer radios would get any better transmit or would be the same as just another 5 watt radio. Thanks for ...
Motorola DTMF signaling | RadioReference.com Forums
2024年5月30日 · Our locomotives have cab radios with the codes stored under the street name (Main St. - UP, Main St. - Down) while on our main channel we can cycle through the list of codes and then tone up and down those codes as we approach the crossings. we have an aging fleet of Kenwood portables that are also able to do this, but we want to shift over to ...
Best bang for your buck Motorola Ham Radio
2015年12月21日 · Not sure why you specifically want a Motorola. The problem is they are not Ham friendly. You need to buy the 300 dollar CPS software, then special permission key from motorola to allow 25khz and even that part is not easy, and there are plenty of DMR capable radios for better prices that offer free CPS and programming cable.
IP Site Connect compatible radios - RadioReference.com Forums
2018年2月17日 · We are just getting a Motorola solution implemented and looking at using IP Site Connect to interconnect our various locations. Have a question about compatible radios. Are only the Motorola brand radios able to use this system? We need to buy a bulk of radios and looking for a less expensive solution. Thank you in advance!
Motorola Radios Sound Way Better Than Kenwood!
2021年8月24日 · While the EMS (AMR) units have Motorola radios, some with MDC-1200 on pre key and some with no signaling at all. And the difference in audio quality between the two radios is insane! For whatever reason, the noise cancellation that Kenwood uses on their NX line of radios sounds absolutely horrible.
New to Motorola: Several Questions - RadioReference.com Forums
2025年1月11日 · Unless it is a really new radio, you'd want something that's seen a service monitor. Some older public safety radios get beat pretty hard, so making sure you have one that's going to perform like it should is worth it. Yes, that's true, but you can get that with a lot of different brand radios. Motorola doesn't have the market cornered on that.
Motorola System series 500 AM-SSB Citizens Band Mobile CM550
2024年2月11日 · The AM only CM540 is a different story, thats the AM only scanning CB. Way ahead of its time, the scan rate is still faster than many modern radios. Those are well built and as far as I know don't have a known fault like the 550/555. In all Motorola CB radios from the early MOCATs to the late System 500s, the weakest point is the microphone ...
