Both btest servers are running Mikrotik CHR. Both are on 10-gig Internet connections. This however does not imply you are able to test the full 10-gig.

2023年2月2日 · I work for a mail hosting provider, and while analyzing our spam traffic, we've noticed a significant amount of traffic originating from IP addresses with port 2000 open, identified as "MikroTik bandwidth-test server" on that port (with shodan). When we scan these IP addresses using nmap, it reports "cisco-sccp."

I have now mixed setup i.e. for example Mikrotik server, madwifi client and want to do comparisons betwenn mikrotik, madwifi performence. It seems that mikrotik bandwidth test is something proprietary not iperf (or is it netperf?).

2020年5月9日 · Please remember that Bandwidth Test uses a lot of resources. If you want to test real throughput of a router, you should run Bandwidth Test through the tested router not from or to it. To do this you need at least 3 devices connected in chain: the Bandwidth Test server, the router being tested and the Bandwidth Test client.

2024年12月29日 · Having some issue with firewall rule that supposed to open to port 2000 but from our main company router (mikrotik) its not communication with the client router? Any idea's that can lead me into punching that hole (figuratively) through the firewall so it can communicate with the client router so we can run the bandwidth test.

2022年2月6日 · There were even some public bandwidth test servers available for those who wanted to make some tests and they worked great! Agreed, that is not the problem. The issue appears when you have multiple Mikrotik routers on a muti-subnet private ip network.
