Well regardless, there's going to be a Gear 6 to signify Luffy's other Zoan transformation. I mean, if Giant Gear 5 Luffy turns about to be the third transformation, then this entire post is basically considered moot, but I'm sure Oda would give an important highlight to the other transformation if it was counted as the third transformation.

2023年8月2日 · The gears are Luffy's own names for his fighting styles. It's possible he makes up a gear 6. I think it's more likely though that he makes up different modes of gear 5 similar to gear 4's bounceman/snakeman. Luffy's fruit is said to give him more freedom.

2022年5月28日 · The thing is, I don’t think he needs a new “gear” to make his awakening more efficient. He created Snake Man to make gear 4 more efficient for speed and tank man for endurance. He could do something similar with gear 5 since it lets him mold his body however he wants at will without any extra effort, unlike the gear 4 transformations.
