Hardened Blue Loctite Removal - Ruger Forum
2013年5月11日 · I ended up soaking it in nail polish remover and using my finger nails and some dental flossing gizmos to clean out the threads without damage. It wasn't perfect but good enough to be able to clean the screw with alcohol, reapply a thin coat of new blue Locktite and reassemble the pistol.
Clear fingernail polish as lock tite. - Ruger Forum
2014年1月24日 · It actually works pretty good. So does old fashioned shellac. Regarding nail polish needing air to dry, a screw hole isn't air tight...air's gonna get in there and dry/harden the nail polish. We had to use something before 1953, which is when Loctite came along. I wonder what Wild Bill Hickok, Buffalo Bill, or Annie Oakley used?

2012年10月25日 · But now I noticed today that the cylinder is real tight going back and it doesn't seem to always click into place. And now when it does click into place, I can get anywhere from 4 to 7 rotations and then it locks up. Very difficult to even use …
Tightening a cassette lockring... - Ridemonkey Forums
2003年4月4日 · Thing is my lock ring tool has a round hole through it, so I can't use any sort of wrench size adaptor. As you noted, I just want to torque it to spec and the only way for me to do so, short of buying a new lockring tool is to use a "mongo" socket to fit over it. I guess it will just have to be "tight enough".

"Cylinder lock-up" - Ruger Forum
2015年12月7日 · Holding the trigger back doesn't change anything for a Ruger, Smith, or Taurus's lock up (or Rossi, Charter, etc etc). This method dates back to the old Colt days, but if a Ruger, Taurus, or Smith lock up with the trigger at rest, they lock up the same with the trigger back.

Front sight screw is loose - Ruger Forum
2021年1月7日 · I have a 22/45 mark II and the front sight screw is loose. Can I use a lock-tight product on the screw? I would not use the permanent product. The reason I ask, even after manually tightening the screw it works loose after firing. Thank you in advance.
The SAR9 "TurkoGlock" first range trip - Ruger Forum
2024年12月26日 · The SAR is just easy to shoot and hit with. I just ignore the safety and use it like a Glock. Although there is the SAR9T that deletes the safety. I don't mind it, the ambidextrous levers help lock my hand in and there's no way to accidentally engage it since it flips down to safe.
