2021年7月8日 · HERE is the ORIGINAL image of smile.dog made to accompany a creepypasta called "smile.dog" on 4chan's /x/ board in 2006 or 2007, thereabouts. The picture OP has posted here is an EDIT that attempted to make THIS ORIGINAL PICTURE look more realistic or perhaps imply that it was the original image. It isn't, and has caused much confusion.

2016年5月5日 · Neither smile.jpg nor Smile.dog is mentioned anywhere on Wikipedia, though the website features articles on such other, perhaps more scandalous shocksites as ***** (hello.jpg) or 2girls1cup; any attempt to create a page pertaining to smile.jpg is summarily deleted by any of the encyclopedia's many admins.

2022年11月2日 · My thoughts are that while it's possible, this image doesn't match smile dog. I know that that image is photoshopped, but small details between this dog and the smile dog dog don't match up. The ears aren't exactly the same shape, the eyes aren't the same, the bit of facial coloring this dog has isn't present in the smile dog image, etc.

2022年11月6日 · Whenever people at my school discussed these stories, smile dog was brought up occasionally, however, no one ever told me what it was about, and I had never seen the iconic photo from the story. I wasn't really interested in hearing a horror story involving a dog either because my 20-year-old border collie had passed away that year.

2022年7月31日 · I've been poking around on and off since smile.dog was relatively new, but I never saw the early images that supposedly prompted a visceral reaction; the heavily edited, oversaturated forms are just shock value to me, which I don't find genuinely scary at all.

2022年4月2日 · Every smile dog photo that exists in the real life is an incorrect version of the photo in the creepypasta, which we can never see. The only way we can see the original photo is that the author themselves drawing or taking a photo of a dog and saying it's the original photo.
