Disagree there is no positive branding with Bard. Bard's introduction was the controversy back in March. It was intentionally under powered when it was released when millions tested it leaving many to rightfully assume bard sucked. The name in itself, while cool in origin sounds terrible when said loudly in context of a gen AI chatbot.

I have heard before (can't quite remember where, so I can't comment on how credible it is) that the Palm-2 model that is supposedly behind Google Bard has been trained with data from a larger array of languages, and so it performs better at translation to and from some of these languages (especially the less common ones) than GPT4.

2024年2月8日 · A few days ago I thought it would be interesting to see if ChatGPT Pro and Bard could write the code given pretty rigorous prompts. Bard produced working code (along with excellent explanations and links to source material) right out of the gate. It even used a Python library I hadn't heard of that did a better job than my solution.

2023年3月31日 · I can't wait to see if Google can run the new model anywhere as close as fast as Bard. Google was just so smart to start the TPU development in 2015. They just got it way earlier than the others. Specially Microsoft. Microsoft should have been smart like Google and done a TPU like device. Now Microsoft is screwed as dependent on Nvidia.
