2016年12月9日 · I too have used mineral oil on graphite shaft to remove the old tape. Mineral oil tends to soften the tape. The longer it is left on, the softer the tape gets, and the easier it is to peel off. Once you get the tape off, clean the area with warm soapy water to remove all the oil residue. Then dry the area thorughly before applying the new stuff.

2019年5月25日 · Yes. The only issue with putting it on a club other than the putter would be if the grip tape began to come off it might be deemed as ‘altering’ the club. Not likely to happen with the low impact with a putter but could happen with another club. I used Babalot tape on a wedge years ago and had no problems however. Sí.

2014年2月21日 · I've installed countless Golf Pride Tour Velvets myself w/no problem for ages. Can do it without a vise, just need tape and solvent. Decided to try Zero Friction, thought it would be the same, tried installing 5 grips, each of them got stuck 1/4 way, had to rip them off. Tried no tape, oil, ripped up my hands doing so, put up quite the sweat.

When I slip the grip on over the tape there isn't even enough in the grip to drip... certainly not enough to run even halfway down the shaft, much less reach the clubhead.
