The fourth season of Gilmore Girls, an American comedy drama television series, began airing on September 23, 2003, on The WB. After 22 episodes, the season concluded on May 18, 2004. The season aired on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm. On December 17, 2003, The WB announced that the show was renewed for a fifth season. [1]

Lorelai and Rory return from their summer vacation. Luke's summer cruise with Nicole had unexpected results. Sookie is almost ready to have her baby. Luke helps Rory move into her dorm, where she meets her new roommate. Luke has to deal with his relationship problem.

Season 4 of American drama series Gilmore Girls aired on the WB television network. The sum of its parts was definitely greater than the season whole as Gilmore Girls kicked off its fourth year by separating its high-powered mother-daughter duo.

Season four is a year of transitions for the Gilmores. Lorelai quits her job to realize her ambition of opening an inn of her own with her best friend, Sookie (Melissa McCarthy, Samantha Who?). Rory, meanwhile, is adjusting to her new life at Yale.
