2022年12月11日 · Hunting the Biggest Fox Squirrel Sub Species out 10 sub species. The Fox Squirrel that ranges from SE Virginia to Northern Florida is the Biggest. The Biggest I have harvested was 3.4 lbs and the longest was 34.5 inches. 17.5 ince tail and 17 inch body. Todays squirrel went 2.5 lbs which is bigger than Gray squirrels. Shot with a 410 Shotgun!

2013年8月15日 · Ossabaw Island has a huge population of fox squirrels that were supposedly brought down from MI for hunting and all are the same red phase. One survey estimated a 20:1 ratio of fox squirrels to greys on the island. They used to have a fox squirrel only hunt to try to reduce the non-native squirrels.
