2021年12月7日 · Since I had the manifold off, I cut most of the pipe off so it was not longer in the way. This made putting the manifold back on a bit easier. Installation (topside part 1): I put the manifold on first. I figured if I put the end bolts in first loosely, it would place the manifold in position to get all the other holes lined up.

2006年3月27日 · The common fix for that. It is to upgrade to the grade 8 bolts for the manifolds. They are stronger and less likely to brake. I replaced some of the bolts on my manifolds with the grade 8 bolts. The stock ones will still break if you replace them. They don't actually "fix" the problem. The manifolds are a bit different- one has the bolt head mating surface at about 40mm from the block surface and the other is about 50mm. So are the bolts same length left and right sides?

2012年4月2日 · Exhaust manifold bolts get a lot of heat stress that eventually changes the temper of the bolt makeing it more prone to breakage. It useually winds up costing more to get one broke off bolt out than the cost of a whole set of bolts.
