2012年1月10日 · The script vs print logo has nothing to do with the era of the pen. I believe the script is reserved for pens that cost more so i dont think its available on the chrome or medalist models. They can be found on modern cross pens with 10k, 14k, 18k and sterling silver. I could be wrong though but this seems to be the case for all of my cross pens.

The problems I am having are how to tell the difference between rollerball/fountain caps, ballpoint/pencil caps. Does the rollerball cap fit the Selectip?

2024年6月23日 · i just picked this pen up at a thrift store, along with its mechanical pencil counterpart, the pen says -1/20 and 12kt gold filled, and "cross" is kinda slanted, the pencil says the same thing but "century" instead of cross. both were made in the USA, if anyone could help me ID this pen or tips on how to ID cross pens like this i'd appreciate ...

2008年9月12日 · I have an older cross pen that had one of those type logos. I did remove it, and as others said, I have have two small holes on that clip from where it attached. I did solve the problem by buying a similar pen with a clean cap/clip. The pen was important to me because it had been my grandfather's.

2010年8月29日 · If the nib is gold, whether or not plated with rhodium, it will tell you the gold content. The place where the number of karats or the number of parts of gold in a thousand (14K 585 or 18K 750) is adjacent to a kind of logo with an X (for Cross) and the initials A and T within the X. That logo may be seen in the uppermost nib in the photograph.

2023年1月1日 · Usually the refills will last for decades, but even when they're new they tend to write a bit more faint than I'd like. They haven't changed the design much over the years, the main differences being in the font of the logo and some of the newer ones are made overseas after Cross was sold. Fisher makes aftermarket refills for them that I enjoy.

2018年5月1日 · Cross is well-known for doing pens with company "logo badges" on the clips like that -- in fact, it was such a big part of their sales back in the mid-twentieth century that Cross actually bought a company that made the badges. (Or at least, that's what my memory of the official company history says, but it's been a few years since I read it.)
