Pushed the speed for coho at 2.6-2.8 on the Depth Raider(subtract 0.4mph for older version). Hook up rate pretty good for Coho going 20-24 with 1 king, 1 LT, 6 bows and 12 Coho getting out mixed bag but not where we expected to.

Thats why I’m heading to Silver Bay, hoping to find a coho or two, and a chance at a king for Junior. Superior’s “structure” is really temp breaks, bug lines and current seams.

2015年6月17日 · The leading edge of a coho’s anal fin is no taller than the fins’ base at the body. Fold the fin down and if the leading edge is the same approximate length its a coho. The king salmon’s anal fin’s leading edge length is much shorter than the fin’s length at the body. Fold the fin down and the base will be much longer.

It is not uncommon to hook into a brown trout or a steelhead and you may also come across a coho when the cold water moves close to shore. You have two good options to catch these fish. One is to cast a jig & plastic and the other is to vertically jig a spoon or blade bait.

2023年7月25日 · Planning to troll for Salmon in Duwamish River in WA. The river is about max 20′ deep (avg 14′) with slow currents. We mostly see Sockeye (10lb max) and Coho Salmon (20 lb) here.

2020年12月13日 · Now it’s flipped back and lakers are the dominant predator and the Chinook/Coho’s are secondary. The spawning habitat isn’t there for the salmon either. Look at what happens to the north shore rivers every summer. It’s amazing anything survives in those. Lakers have all the reefs and rock piles to themselves.
