2022年6月7日 · The Impressionist and famous haystacks painter, Claude Monet, created the Haystacks (1890-1891) series, also termed Meules in French, referring to a stack in English. There are around 25 paintings in this series depicting wheatstacks in the countryside.

On view at The Met Fifth Avenue in Gallery 819. Between 1890 and 1891 Monet devoted some thirty paintings to the haystacks in a field near his house at Giverny.

On MAY 15, 2019, Monet's "Meules", one of acclaimed "Haystacks" series, sold at Sotheby's sale of Impressionist & Modern Art. The auction house says it's a world auction record for the artist and the first work of Impressionist art to cross the $100-million threshold at auction.

The Haystacks series have some of the most vibrant sun sets that Monet ever painted. In recent years some of the series have fetched record prices at auction with and was sold by Sotheby’s for $110.7 million making it one of the most expensive impressionist paintings ever sold.
