Capitol Corridor trains generally do not require an advance reservation, so it’s easy to just buy a ticket and ride. One-way tickets enable you to ride one-way from departure station to destination. Round-trip tickets allow you to ride from departure station to your destination and back.

The Capitol Corridor provides convenient, frequent and affordable service between the Sacramento region and the Bay Area, with multi-ride tickets available. You can also take the easy Thruway bus connections to San Francisco at Emeryville.

The Capitol Corridor is a 168-mile (270 km) passenger train route in Northern California operated by Amtrak between San Jose, in the Bay Area, and Auburn, in the Sacramento Valley.

Capitol Corridor tickets are accepted for travel on the San Joaquin service only between Oakland Jack London and Martinez, and San Francisco bus connections. Photo Identification: A valid government-issued ID is required to board all Capitol Corridor trains and connecting buses.
