About - theisleofcanna
Canna is the westernmost of the Small Isles archipelago, in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. It is linked to the neighbouring island of Sanday by a road and sandbanks at low tide. The island is 4.3 miles (6.9 km) long and 1 mile (1.6 km) wide. The isolated skerries of Hyskeir and Humla lie 6.2 miles south west of the island.
Getting here - theisleofcanna
Departing from Mallaig The MV Loch Nevis sails from Mallaig to Canna five times a week in Summer and three in Winter. Daytrips to Canna. From April until October take a day trip to Canna on a Wednesday or Saturday. Check the calmac website for the full timetable.
The Harbour - theisleofcanna
Our pier and the surrounding bay offer excellent and picturesque shelter to vessels visiting our island, working in the vicinity, or in transit to any of the stunning destinations we’re enroute to.

Canna and Sanday are comprised of a rich variety of habitats from coastal grassland and machair, to Atlantic woodlands and steep, maritime cliffs home to a diverse range of wildlife species. The Ranger offers seasonal events and activities including guided walks and talks.

The Isle of Canna is the westernmost of the Small Isles archipelago, in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. It is owned by the National Trust for Scotland and is a two hour ferry journey from Mallaig. The current number of permanent residents on Canna is 15. This housing project is a major step toward our eventual aim of having 30 people on Canna.

The book has all the delicious Cafe Canna recipes inside with helpful hints and tips on foraging as well as beautiful photographs of the island and community. Cafe Canna will be opening for the season on Saturday 20th April.
