2022年3月28日 · The A400 utilizes a design that more resembles the Old Franchi 712/720 gas system, and 391 Xtrema line. The main difference between the A400 and 391 Xtrema being the updated "self cleaning" piston. The 12 gauge A400 models are reliable with just about any load, and are among the best all around autoloaders made IMO.

2024年5月24日 · A Beretta A400 Xplor (or Xcel) gas system is simple to clean. With target ammo I clean the 12 ga Xcel about every 1200 shots, although mine would cycle probably double that without issue. I've never cleaned the gas port between the barrel and piston on an A400 (or AL391) nor had any reason to clean them.

2014年10月5日 · I started shooting shotguns about 3 months ago and am using my Grandfather's Remington 11-48 20 gauge. I mainly shoot skeet and throw trap in the mix from time to time. I am getting a new shotgun and want the Beretta A400 Xplor Action but my buddies (who mainly hunt) tell me to man up and get the 12 gauge.

2018年7月19日 · Also, I own a 20ga (and 12ga) Beretta 390 and I've got to say that the build quality on those is better. The gun is all steel, alloys, or wood - no plastic like the A400 has. If there was a new A400 and a like new 390 (or 391) on the table in front of me and I could pick one, I would probably pick the 390.

2016年2月27日 · That is truly sad commentary, for this isn't a $300 Turkish special. It is ridiculously poor quality control and that's being charitable. One thing is clear: if Beretta cannot be trusted to properly drill a gas port and doesn't bother to check their own work, your A400 is far, far from the only defective A400 20 gauge being sold.

2016年7月13日 · I too heard about the A400 Xplor 20ga jamming, my own gun shots anything, win white box win AA, Rio Target, Fed Premium and Monarch ghetto loads, anything and everything. No FTF or FTE, gun is really clean after 3 cases of ammo. I don't use any aftermarket chokes I'm a Beretta homey. SK, Cyl, IC, Mod. OHP get the job done mainly IC.
