Although the solo R60 used the same single-dry-plate clutch as the sidecar unit, it has a gearbox and rear drive with taller ratios. At maximum torque in fourth gear (4200 rpm), the R60 is rolling along at 65 mph, a very smooth and comfortable cruising speed that consumes just a shade under 50 miles per gallon of regular gas.
