Avalon Beach is a northern beachside suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 28 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Northern Beaches Council, in the Northern Beaches region.

Excellent beach, close to shops. A small but popular rockpool can be found at the Southern end near the surf club. A very pretty beach to visit and popular with surfers. Parking can be found at the northern and southern ends of the beach, but is very popular during the summer months.

Avalon is a surf beach approximately 500m long, facing south-east, and bordered by 60m high sandstone cliffs and the rock platforms of Bilgola Head and Hole in the Wall. The beach faces south east and is bordered by a high headland, Bilgola Head to the north and the lower, shaley Newport Head and rocks to the south.
