I made up 4 BE spartan test arrows squared them on my home made squaring tool and I thought they look good but after glueing the insert in they have a slite wobble . I took the FP out of one of my old arrows that spun good tried it in the new arrow but no change. sharpied the insert and checked it but it looked ok.

2018年10月9日 · You can rotate the arrow within the 4x4 as you sand to make sure it is sanded evenly. I have an arrow squaring tool, but this is faster than anything I have seen and works just as well, if not better (definitely faster). This is because you can drag the arrow across a lot more surface area much faster than rotating it on an arrow squaring device.

I ordered myself an arrow squaring tool, but got a bit impatient and decided to make this arrow squaring tool with a spare PDP .246” tapered insert and about $2 worth of other materials.

2022年8月8日 · Yeah, a squaring tool isn’t necessary if you have a proper arrow saw and use it correctly. But some people use a chop type saw or some sort of DIY device that doesn’t leave the shaft square, so the shaft end sometimes needs to be corrected.

2011年3月3日 · It is a very good tool for building arrows. The FAST that I build is for use with either bare shafts or fletched shafts. By simply using a silver marker on the shaft, you can acheive a dead square end with either tool. Mark the bach end of the shaft, use a squaring tool to cut all of the mark away and you have a square arrow shaft.

2006年5月23日 · part of my arrow building is to square both ends of carbon before i fletch ! then glue inserts & square also. i use same G5 ASD - i will cut a 1" x 3" aprox. - piece of fine wet dry sand paper. and use that between arrow an ASD as my abrasive. each arrow gets a fresh spot .

2017年5月4日 · The best arrow saw I have ever used is the one my dad made with a dremil tool, it was so much better than the ones you buy. Mainly because it uses a thinner blade that has a very small diameter so it contacts the arrow in a smaller contact area and cut much less carbon and it left a much cleaner edge.
