2012年12月20日 · Again, 6x9" are primarily used for rear fill in a car, and for midbass. But I just want to see how I can get the most out of these guys in a home setup. When I bought them (for roughly $11 brand new sealed in a box), I didn't actually think about enclosures. My mind was kinda made up with "pretty big sealed boxes and see how it goes".

2011年3月14日 · So right now I'm in the planning stages of building some boxes for my 6x9's and I'm just interested in the details of small-scale boxes like these. I've found that there aren't a lot of 6x9 boxes available purchase-wise, at least not compared to standard woofer-sized boxes.

2024年6月1日 · So I'm thinking a couple speaker box's on the back seat may just do the trick. I'd like to configure the box as a 2-way, with the 6x9 and a tweeter. A ported box, tuned to 80hz, cause the box's will be located on rear seat just above the Subs that are under the seat. Would anybody be willing to help me figure out what size box I should use....

2011年11月10日 · Personally, I would try to give them at least 0.5 cubic feet in their box (don't forget to compensate for the speaker's own displacement) The box should also be ported. The port doesn't need to be anything awesome, it just needs to be there to let the air move.

2008年10月19日 · I will guesstimate a speaker displacement of .025 based on a typical 8" sub with a 4.5 inch mounting depth with a .035 displacement. The 6x9 is 3" so I guess a .025 cuft displacement sounds about right, but due to the rear deck thickness, not all the 6x9 will be in the box, so I made an adjustment to 0.015 displacement to compensate.

2016年10月19日 · To do this, you would build a basic "box" under the standard 6x9 opening you have there now. The "box" would be open to the current 6x9 opening, and be deep enough to put 6x9's the sides of the "box", so about 6.5 to 7" or so I'd guess. You could also put one at the bottom of the box, facing inverted to keep the trunk clear, and that would be 3 ...

2017年5月2日 · While I had been looking for 6x8 or 6x9 options I had found a few that I was considering. Of course I was going to wait to figure out what speaker size I needed before posting the options to see how they stacked up. I was looking at the Morel Tempo Ultra and Focal Integration ISS, which I know they offer in both 5x7 and 6x9.

2020年7月15日 · As mentioned, your 6x9's already have a mechanical limit to how far the cone can travel. With any speaker, the move it moves, the more distortion is created, the ideal setup would have enough displacement to keep excursion low, minimizing distortion. Sometimes it's fun to do a project, just for the sake of it, so go ahead and play with your idea.
