2024年3月16日 · The Land Cruiser has fully tumbling 2nd row, so I’m not sure how that will work out car camping. I think I’d have to build a platform and just fold the seatback. I expect the 4Runner will have GX style 3rd row and not have the partial tumble 2nd row at all. I might end up buying out my lease and keeping my 5th gen.

Toyota is an exceptional brand and as far as off-roading and overlanding, the 4Runner and Tacoma are the best two options around. For me, I’d lean 4Runner. Lots of space, very proven, good weight distribution and plenty of possibilities for a capable set-up. When I had my 4Runner, I wanted a rooftop camper setup very badly. Looked like fun.

2021年8月24日 · Thanks!! I purchased the set and it looks great. For the rear, I cut down a few zipties to about 1 inch long and used the tabs to hold the shades in place between the trim. Hopefully it holds. Looking forward to trying the full blackout setup on a future camping trip

Believe it or not camping is not exclusively limited to established campgrounds with a hot shower and a chaperone 10 yards away. If a car idles in a blizzard on the side of a mountain but classic-ad isn’t around to hear it, is it still a dick of a camper move?

2022年2月23日 · Start with a basic ground camping setup (tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, etc.) and a basic camp kitchen (inexpensive cooler, Coleman 2-burner stove, Walmart folding chairs, folding utility table). Most people I know don't sleep in their vehicles. Overlanding for most people is just basic car camping with some light-moderate off-roading thrown in.

2023年6月20日 · One contains camping supplies (batteries, flash lights, lighters, bug spray etc), one contains camping food supplies (coffee cups, plastic silverware, s’more sticks etc). Then when it’s time to go camping I load all my stuff in more Plano bins and secure them to the roof with my raingler net https://raingler.com

2020年11月22日 · Just traded my 2016 4Runner 4x4 for a 2021 RAV4 XSE Hybrid. Should have done it sooner! 4Runner is an amazing vehicle and took it to many BLM roads/disperse camping and to be honest most of the trails the RAV4 could handle with the AWD. Now if your going extreme off-roading (rock crawling, mudding, OHV parks etc) 4Runner is far superior.
