2022年4月19日 · Here in Sweden, it's cheap to get a used 15-20 year old flatbed light utility truck, like VW Caddy, Skoda Felicia, Fiat Strada. They have been used as shared work vehicles and are usually not maintained very well. If you get something older, it's more of …
Old VW Beetle chopped and converted into a pickup truck
2014年12月4日 · Basically all you do is cut the body in half, seal it off, then put a big truck bed over the engine and bolt it all to the pan. The bed itself is usually quite shallow, like 6-8 inches shallow, and the rest is shroud to cover the engine. Here's a good example of what's going on in the back. This truck should have a similar setup.

2022年6月24日 · They are a good 2-3 feet longer than an old F100, Ranger, S10, Dodge Rampage, Chevy SSR, Subaru Baja (probably the last real "ute" type vehicle released in the US). On top of that, the bed height is so much higher.
TIL Volkswagen makes a pickup truck? [Volkswagen Amarok]
2023年8月28日 · Funny you posted this. I just drove by a small car show yesterday that had a VW Beetle pickup truck. I was so thrown off by it and thought I was living under a rock, but came to find out it was a kit.

Best type of old truck to get, that will be easy for someone
Ford's 300 inline 6 engine (4.9) is legendary for reliability and low end torque. I really think it is the ultimate "old reliable truck" engine, but that's my personal preference. When you're talking about trucks this old, all the arguments of this brand vs that brand become fairly irrelevant.
[SPOILERS] What's up with Lewis' truck..? - Reddit
2016年3月11日 · Now this is one I haven't seen mentioned yet. Before you stop me and say "Yes, many people have noticed you can use it to fast travel", it was changed in the recent patch. For whatever reason, when I go to check it now, it simply says "It's just the back of Lewis' old pickup truck...", and yes, I do have the mine carts unlocked. This baffles me.
VW Bug Pickup : r/AwesomeCarMods - Reddit
2023年3月28日 · When I was a kid, we had a Bug, and the shop owner who maintained it drove one he converted into a truck. However, rather than a classic pickup truck like this, he made it into a wooden stake bed, so the bottom of the bed was raised above the engine. It looked pretty awesome. It looked similar to this, but nicer: VW Beetle with stake bed
1990 VW Taro (Toyota pickup) : r/regularcarreviews - Reddit
2019年12月12日 · US buyers, meanwhile, didn't get any double (crew) cab on a small pickup until the 2000 Nissan Frontier. And its appeal was limited among the "you need at least 6' of bed to do real truck work" crowd. The most popular config on US was far and away the extended cab/6' from their first introduction in about the mid-'80s well into the mid-'00s.
