The Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Mumbai and the wider Mumbai Metropolitan Region in Maharashtra, India.

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRC) is the nodal agency responsible for the implementation of Mumbai Metro Line–3(MML-3) project. It has been constituted as a JV of the Govt. of India(GOI) and the Government of Maharashtra(GOM) on 50:50 sharing basis.

The Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system currently being served by Mumbai Metro Line 1, Metro Line 7 & Metro Line 2A. Currently, only three metro lines are fully operational, and ten lines are under construction.
