2022年8月30日 · The majority of Bible passages in the Old Testament do not give any description of what angels actually look like. Daniel 10 gives us the best description of biblically accurate angels. Daniel describes them as like men but having a shining quality to them.

Where do angels come from? God created the angels through Jesus, whom the Bible calls “the firstborn of all creation.” Describing how God used Jesus in creation, the Bible says: “By means of [Jesus] all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible,” including the angels.

a The Bible reveals that some spirits rebelled against God’s authority, and it calls these wicked angels “demons.” — Luke 10:17-20 . b In fact, the original Hebrew and Greek words used in the Bible for “angel” both mean “messenger.”

But it was wrong for angels to do that. Like those wicked angels, most humans at that time became corrupt and violent. Jehovah then decided to destroy wicked humans by flooding the whole earth. But he saved his faithful servants. (Genesis 7:17, 23) To survive, the wicked angels returned to heaven. The Bible calls those wicked angels demons.

Moreover, angels did not first come into existence as humans on earth —whether as babies, children, or adults. Angels were created by Jehovah; thus the Bible calls them “sons of the true God.” —Job 1:6; Psalm 148:2, 5. The Bible speaks of “the tongues of men and of angels,” indicating that spirit persons have language and speech.

(Ex 23:20-23) Ranking very high among the angels in privileges and honor are the seraphs. (Isa 6:2, 6; see SERAPHS.) More frequently (some 90 times), the Scriptures mention the cherubs, and from the description of their duties and responsibilities it is apparent that they, too, hold a special position among the angels.

Bible verses about the Devil 2 Corinthians 11:14 : “Satan himself keeps disguising himself as an angel of light.” Meaning: Satan pretends to be good in order to fool people into following his teachings rather than those of God.
