2011年12月8日 · A word of the best advice I can give you right here. Plug the headlight switch, the dimmer and the fog light switch back in after you have the cluster out. Or you'll be coming back outside to a dead battery when you're done with the repair as the lights go on when you unplug the headlight switch. OR you could disconnect the battery.

2010年10月21日 · From this post, I find out that VDORepair (http://www.vdorepair.com) will repair your instrument cluster for about $350 (includes shipping & lifetime warranty). From this thread, I find out that Patrick, at BMWPartsSource (a sponsor) will repair the cluster for about $300 (depending on warranty). Money back if the cluster can not be repaired.

I know that there are shops where you can mail them your instrument cluster, they take it apart and fix it, and then they mail it back. Has anyone done this recently and can recommend a place in the US? I've found lots of posts but they are from 5-10 years ago.
