The only difference is that they learned the concepts through repeated practice instead of being taught. Learning music theory is just a way to approach the Beatles level of understanding music much quicker than playing 10 000 hours in Hamburg.

I’d personally put a few songs ahead of A Day in the Life but it is undoubtably genius in its lyrical content, one of Ringo’s best drumming performances, the melding of John and Paul’s parts, and the climactic orchestral build up at the end, it all comes together so seamlessly in the crowning achievement of maybe their most influential album.

The last few seconds of "A Day in the Life" where it sounds like a crowd of people talking. "Never could see any other way." [Repeat] That's how I interpreted the words at least. Why exactly was it put in the song?

2016年10月17日 · I find A Day In The Life to be symbolic of the experience of Sgt. Peppers. You go through a ton of different stories and styles in each song and eventually you get lost in the world that is the Sgt. pepper album. Once you get out of this world with the Sgt. pepper Reprise, you are taken back to your regular life, but with a small twist.

2021年6月17日 · A day in the life is John talking about what he was doing the day Paul died. The middle section is fake Paul talking about waking up like any other day, then showing up to a meeting where he got the news that he'd be replacing McCartney in the worlds biggest band and steps "into a dream". If you believe that kind of nonsense of course :)

2013年7月29日 · Although most of the Beatles' songs were credited Lennon/McCartney you have songs that are Paul's (Let it Be, When I'm 64, Hey Jude ect.) and you have John's (Happiness is a warm gun, Julia, Strawberry Fields Forever ect.) and both of their styles contrasted greatly, you don't get both of them writing in their own styles in the same song.

2020年1月24日 · Supporting this, I believe to remember that I once heard A Day In The Life supposedly being in E minor (contrasting the song-final E-chord), and in addition to that, my Beatles song book puts a # at the beginning of the line, interpreting the song as either one of those tonalities.
